Capital punishment is punishment by death for a crime such as the death penalty. When it comes to capital punishment there are many strong options on the matter. The death penalty is used in many other countries besides the United States such as China, India, and North Korea. These are just some of the 48 countries that's a quarter of the world that still use the system today. I do agree with Amber Yang that Capital punishment is in fact society self defense because, it's necessary for the safety and well being of the people all over the world. Some people do horrible crimes and should be punished permanently and it also provides closure for the victims family.

Innocent old and young people are being murdered everyday by cold blooded killers like Ted Bundy. The punishment should fit the crime he or she may commit. For a person that commits a crime such as kidnapping, rape, or drug dealing should only receive proper prison time and not the death penalty. Capital punishment is good because its what criminals have to face for committing a murder. Yes, it may be quite sad but it help stops any other criminal from committing a crime.
