When doing a research, analysts look at various samples, journals websites, news, websites, reports or data in finding what is the cause and the best solution to the problem. These researches consist of applicable information that was gathered and examined at every angle so that they are helpful and appropriate in making the best decision. In my synopsis I will define a business research and its purpose, explain the problem, and describe the data collection method and the conclusion as a result to the research.

During the investigation of a current business research on published individuals, this research purpose is to investigate the productivity in communication studies during a particular period of 2002-2006. During these five years, the finding shows only 31 individuals had nine or more articles published. Based on this article, researchers need to investigate what caused professors to have a sudden change of not being productive.

The business problem under investigation is to find out the cause behind the changes. By tradition professors as publisher were suppose to engaged in three areas such as teaching, research, and service. However they are problems in these areas which make publication measurable to research. Before time, research productivity was available through hard copy of the entire record from the Nationals Communication Associations, but eventually did not exist; instead articles began to appear which had problems too. They were also a number of other studies according to Hickson, Self, Johnston, Peacock, & Bodon, J. Published in the Journal of association for Communication Administration by faculty member were discontinued over the years in which communication studies never publish or only one did.
