Community Problem Solving Paper

Introduction
The Arlington Police Department has adopted a problem solving approach to crime and disorder to the community. It is difficult to rebuild a community that has had problems with different type of crimes. The problem in the community that law enforcement has initiative is theft. In the Arlington community theft has become a major problem at night on property. Auto Theft has been a high rated crime in the community do to unsecured vehicles . People in the community have been getting together and to have different meeting preventing the following crimes. These crimes were the top two crimes in the Arlington community that resulted in the numerous criminal activities.
The number one occurring problem with theft at night is due to unlighted area. It has been known that most people that have motion lights on property are less to have theft occurs. People who own dust to dawn lights rarely have had break in. It has been known that many people in the Arlington community that has left unattended area with light that crime has not been committed. Crimes have also taken in place in much community without lights. According to, The Home Association of Arlington, residence must have dust to dawn or motion lights install in the front and back area of each home or they will be given a fine. Robbery has been taking place in drive ways with residence that had no dust to dawn or motion lights. Such as gun point, knife points, and assault. Lights bulbs have been unscrewed previous in the daytime by robbers for them to gain access on to property of the home owner. According to Officers Turknett, it has been known for robbers to take a pellet gun to burst light fixture to do crime activities.
In today society with the advanced technology on car alarms there are still numerous amounts of cars thefts in the Arlington community. There are five different...
