The advantages are that you can fine many literary and good research, however the disadvantage is that not everything you read is as precise as an observation or library eventhougth the educational information provided is very resourceful and had access to many journals and subscriptions, The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) contains more than over 1million abstracts of journal articles and research reports on education related topics. The database can be searched by going to www.eric.ed.gov, or by using ERIC in commercial databases provided in many libraries. Most ERIC documents are available electronically, in print, or on photographs in libraries

On another note it is better to locate and read the originals so you have the complete reliable information rather than a short introduction. Nevertheless a well-written scientific paper explains the scientist's motivation for doing an experiment, the experimental design and execution, and the meaning of the results. Scientific papers are written in a style that is exceptionally clear and concise. Their purpose is to inform an audience of other scientists about an important issue and to document the particular approach they used to investigate that issue.

Furthermore primary source is an original document containing firsthand information about a topic. Different fields of study may use different types of primary sources, Such as Biographies Dissertations Indexes, abstracts, bibliographies used to locate a secondary source.
