The brand

VKC, founded in 1984 very soon went on to become one of South India's prestigious footwear manufacturers. The VKC brand has already made its presence felt in some States to the further North, including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha. Concrete plans are afoot for similar forays in other States as well. Apart from the domestic market, VKC has found acceptance in the GCC countries, Singapore and Malaysia.

Thus today the group has come a long way from its modest beginnings and has made a mark not just in the Indian Footwear Industry but in the global market as well. VKC has appropriated to itself the credit of being the country's largest manufacturer of polyurethane footwear. It is seeking to build on this reputation to become the largest single presence in the industry and has charted out its growth plans accordingly

With a growing network now at 20-production units spread across five States and employing over 5,000 people, the company boasts an annual turnover of around Rs 900 crores. Currently it has production units in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

The brand portfolio owned and promoted by the group includes the leading followed by VKC Lite, Smartak and Slipons. The brands under the attractive campaign of "My Stride, My Pride", are endorsed by leading Indian celebrities.
