KATONAH, N.Y. ­ During the process of developing Construction Pro Manager software  (www.ConstructionProManager.com), Founder and President of Construction Pro Manager Andrew Arena  learned how experience and drive can lead to process improvements and innovation for an industry and that  these changes can be driven by a single person with a vision. His story is one of identifying a problem within  an industry, envisioning the solution and developing the tools needed to solve the problem. After 18 years of construction experience, working his way up the project management ladder serving as  project manager and construction safety manager, Arena recognized what he perceived to be a big problem  for project managers: The software they were using to store and retrieve project documentation was too  complex, requiring considerable training and making it more, not less, difficult to find and share documents  among all those involved in a construction project. It became clear to him that the root cause of these complications was that real contractors in the construction  industry had not been consulted to help in the development of the existing documentation software. With all  due respect to software developers, project management is not a one­size­fits­all process that works the same  across all industries.
