This article seeks to explore the causes of childhood obesity and the growing problem of increasing numbers of obese children each year. It also hopes to provide information and tell-tale signs to physicians and other medical personnel that can be used to determine the children who are at risk of being obese. The purpose of being able to predict who may be at risk for becoming is to be able to apply some preventive measures towards avoiding it from happening. However, some cases may be harder to fix than others bases on social factors, cultural backgrounds, and family health history.
