Media can be defined as the means in which information can be passed from one person to another or a group of people at the same time and media is also a broadcasting medium for the internet, newspapers, televisions and magazines. The negative effects for several decades has a lot of direct negative impact on individuals both the young and the old in different ways without even knowing, the new media gives out wrong information because of the way it is presented to the general public who accept it and acting in different ways because of media has given out and with the invention on smartphones you can get new where ever you are in the world. The media has the power to make or break things and individuals also.

Video games can be fun and a source of entertainment but it has its own negative effect, when children and adolescents get familiar and use to these games in no time the start behaving like the characters they make use to fight and start practising it in real life they become really stubborn and do not listen to what their parents tell them to do, these also affects their study time when they are supposed to be studying they are playing games, they start practicing what they do in these games fighting as fun and cannot settle any argument they have with their peers in peace but it in violence and it is an addictive thing to do “ Violence in television and film, music and video games in the media increases aggressiveness and violent behaviour”. (Anderson, 2003, p8) this means that they do not have a calm behaviour any longer and because of these video games that are classified as entertainment they are aggressive towards everything.
