My name is Kristie Barela and I am the Vice President with Rochester Preferred Travel. I am writing this letter because of a complaint I have with your company. Since January 21, 2013, I have made several attempts to resolve this matter with no solution. I sincerely hope that you will be able to solve this issue for me.
Rochester Preferred Travel is one of the leading travel agencies within the New York area. What keeps us ahead of our competition is being able to offer our clients unique gifts with their cruise ship travel packages. I was referred to your company, by a business colleague, and began browsing your catalogue when it arrived in the mail. I really love how Premier Promos offers imprinted promotional products for companies. Along with the promotional products, I noticed Premier offered free samples of its promotional merchandise, under its “No Surprise” policy. I thought this was a great option because it was a way to see certain items before actually purchasing them.
On January 11, 2013, I decided to place a telephone order for some of the free samples. I ordered the following items:
* An insulated lunch sack
* A portable power strip in a zippered case
* A square-ended barrel bag w/fanny pack
* A deluxe canvas attaché case
* Two colors of garment-dyed sweatshirts
After carefully reading through the catalogue, these items were supposed to be free, unless I decided to keep the sample items. I thought it was strange that the customer service agent taking my order asked for my company’s credit card number. I was informed this was because Premier had promised to bill only if I decided to keep these sample items.
