Crocs, Inc

Crocs, Inc was founded in 2002 in Boulder, CO as a boat shoe, a shoe that

could be used in water and land. The main shoe was the clog style. In 2007

and with the acquisition of Ocean Minded, sandals were added to the Crocs

shoe collection. Today, Crocs, Inc features a wide variety of clogs,

sandals, winter boots, flats and mary janes, loafers and heel and wedges

type shoes.

The shoes are made with the Croslite™ resin, which was acquired

in 2004 and is proprietary to Crocs, Inc. The Croslite™ resin is what gives

Crocs, Inc their slip resistant and distinctive look. The Jibbitz™ Charms

company was acquired in 2006 and offers a variety of charms to decorate your

clogs and sandals.

The clogs are offered with fuzz lining to be used in the winter time to keep your

toes and feet warm and toasty. The shoes are recommended to diabetes and

plantar fasciitis sufferers since it offers support, stability and protects

the feet. It is also a hit with people who need "wide" shoes due to bunions

and other feet ailments. Crocs, Inc is also marketed for people who work

standing up all day, such as healthcare workers, beauticians and teachers,

especially pre-school teachers.

The target audience for Crocs, Inc is very broad and includes every person
