Midlife crisis is a commonly used term by adults, who get to a certain point in life, when they realize that they are facing their own mortality. This can be attributed to by various events or changes in a person’s life. These changes can be either be death to people that one is close to, dissatisfaction arising from unfulfilled goals, self-critique of life accomplishments, changes in age and health, and many other transitions that one experiences in life.

People experiencing midlife crisis may get into a feeling of wanting to feel youthful again, need to accomplish or achieve the unfulfilled goals, need to spend time with peers, resentment or anger due to their discontent with their marital, work, health, economic, or social status. While going through midlife crisis, a person might want to engage in activities that they think that will help them cope with the crisis. Such activities would include buying an expensive car, boat, electronics and so on. They might also experience depression, pay special attention to their physical changes and thereby engaging in sports, getting tattoos, or wearing younger generation’s clothes. To some extent, they may also push their children to perform well in school to compensate for their lack of ‘underachieving.’

Lastly, a very common symptom of midlife crisis would be where a person enters a relationship with a much younger person. They can enter into a personal or professional relationship.

Walmart has been thriving on “everyday low prices,” as the motto by which their business runs. It is still a retailer that a lot of companies try to emulate as far as growth, expansion and having a diverse market share is concerned. Walmart reigned supreme in retailing for more than 45 years.
