Alternative fuel for cars is a fuel, other than gasoline, that helps provide power for motor vehicles. A few examples of alternative fuel would be electric fuel, methanol, or natural gas. The cost of alternative fuel is definitely worth the investment because it provides a more green way to go about mobilization. We have gathered a few resources for our assignments, and here they are.

This will be a good source for us to draw from because it’s from a large company that has started replacing its fleet with alternative fuel vehicles. This source clearly states the cost that is involved with the move to CNG vehicles. It also gives great facts to show the benefits they will recoup from making this initial financial commitment. They are expected to save 1,000 jobs per year from 2009 to 2018. In addition to the jobs they will be saving, they will also save 49 million gallons of gas as well as reduce carbon emissions by 211,000 metric tons.

This will be a good source for us as well, because it gives us insight on Ford’s plan to start selling natural gas-powered cars. Within this source, we’re able to get an in-depth opinion as to why they feel it is best to start selling cars with alternative fuel, and how they think it will benefit our economy and how it will benefit us.
