Technical Report Outline

In a technical report it is important to understand what all the criteria involved in a report requires. This is a vital when accomplishing the topic matter at hand.

The matter mentioned in the report should be laid out according to the Audience. This topic of discussion should be focused appropriately with the right tone.

There are many methods to reach the intended audience and grasp the reader’s attention. I believe setting the tone at a Seventh Graders level when writing is a good gouge to use when writing. This example is realistic, because this is the reading level and comprehension that the world of business communicates with. This method is used when describing a topic because anyone who is an adult should be able to interpret what is discussed and can process the material being described.

I believe that visual aids such as graphs or charts are great examples when describing a topic for discussion. Graphs are a great implemented tool when comparing many groups of data such as different companies’ similarities and differences. This data displays advantages and disadvantages of the specific topic. Pie charts are a great tool for visual aid when specifically breaking down certain data into smaller sections to analyze for comprehension. The pie chart example could be how much time someone spends in their daily routine. Abstracts are the preface to summarize a topic of discussion.

Defining specific terminologies and theories help an audience understand and comprehend the topic easier like a preface. This preface is like a historical background of whatever the topic is and guides the audience in the intended direction.
