What the Pledge of Allegiance Means

The Pledge of Allegiance means a great deal to me. It reminds me of my right to an education, my overall freedom as a United States citizen and how lucky I am to be born in this country.

One of the things the pledge reminds me of is my right to an education. Without an education, I would not have the opportunity or ability to write this essay. It also reminds me that in this country, we offer education like no other. It is one of the few countries that provide an education to everyone regardless of ability.

The pledge of allegiance reminds me that I have many freedoms. One important freedom is my freedom to practice any religion. Another is my freedom of speech. The pledge also reminds me that the Unites States is a democracy and not a dictatorship.

The final thing the pledge reminds me of is that I am blessed in this country. I have the ability to choose my future and career. I could grow up to work for a large company or own my own business. My path is in my hands here in the United States.

In conclusion, the pledge reminds me of the many things of which I am grateful. Some things I should never take for granted are my right to an education, my freedoms as a United States citizen and how lucky and blessed I am to have been born in this great country.
