1. What nonverbal messages are being sent in this image?

There seems to be some sort of accusation or confrontation. The lady looks surprised at what the man may have said, while the man looks angry or upset.

2. What type of nonverbal communication codes are being used to deliver the messages?

There are body movement and gestures, facial expressions, eye contact, and personal space.

3. What effect does each message have on the other people in the image?

The picture shows that the man is showing the feeling of dominance and the lady is surprised by the man’s message.

4. What nonverbal communication skills and strategies could be used to communicate effectively in this situation?

Checking perceptions and understanding the diversities of nonverbal communication. The man should be more relaxed and lean back, so the lady would not feel overpowered.
