An Assessment of Life
1.Is there meaning to life and if so what is it? If not, explain why not. (Meaning has to do with significance and why something matters.)
I believe that there is meaning to life because it wasn't a random factor that allowed you to have life. There was a purpose to which you were granted life. Although it might not be clear what the meaning of life is, we have to go on an individual journey to find what the meaning of life is for one's self. The meaning of life can be different for many people because we are all different people. There will be people who have similar characteristics and talents as you, but they are still not you, therefore you are special in your own way. I personally haven't found what the meaning of life is for me, but through many experiences and adventure, I believe one could find the meaning of life. Life is something that is very unpredictable. For example, a high school student might claim that they want to pursue becoming a doctor, but as the student attends college, the student finds out that he/she is more interested in becoming an artist then a doctor. Just like that life is unpredictable and changes. Therefore I believe that there is a meaning of life but it is nearly impossible to know what it is.
2.What is your purpose for living? Why are you here?
I believe that each individual has a different purpose for why they live. For me, I haven't quite figured out what the purpose of living is, but I believe that it wasn't a random chance that we were brought to this world. From the millions of sperm cells, you were chosen to be brought to this world. The reason why I'm here in this world is because God had some purpose that I know nothing about. He has plans for what I will do in my future years that I know nothing of. I believe as an individual progresses through life they find the purpose of living.
