Overview
The purpose of this paper is to capture the history and origin of the wine variety Pinot Gris, along with a description of its normal growing conditions, including factors such as soil type, climate, harvest season length, rainfall and temperature. This paper will then discuss whether this wine variety could survive in Southern Chile by analysing the differences in climate and production procedures between Chile and its home region of France. This paper will conclude by determining whether or not Pinot Gris could survive as a variety in Chile and a production plan in terms of harvesting and creating a final product based on the analyses.
