Objective Of The Project

The objective of the research was to study and understand “mergers and acquisitions in banking sector”. The objectives are as follows –

▪ What are Reasons for merger and acquisitions in banking sector?

▪ Why 60- 70% mergers and acquisitions fail?

▪ Analyses of different mergers and acquisitions cases

▪ What are factor of consideration for mergers and acquisitions?

▪ Developing new factor of consideration before going for mergers and acquisitions

▪ Effects of mergers and acquisitions seen so far.

Methodology

The research methodology used in this report is qualitative as the data collected will be all secondary and it will be collected through different journals, newspapers, magazines and various websites. No primary research will be used. Data will be collected by secondary means.
