Marketing Plan

Apple is in the final stages of launch for one of its most anticipated piece of technology in years, the Apple Watch. Apple has developed its watch with the end user in mind. Apple has put the work in to make sure that this launch will be successful. The final task is to put all the research and planning in to create a comprehensive marketing plan. A marketing plan incorporates all of the previous tasks such as figuring out the targeted market, planning the product and packaging design, and specifying the proper channels for selling the device, into a unified plan.

The marketing plan also specifies Apple’s promotional strategy, including advertising, sales promotions, and marketing ideas for different channels. No marketing plan is complete without addressing the budget for the plan. Apple needs to plan for, and analyze the initial budget for its plan. Finally, a large part of any marketing plan includes the process that will be utilized to gauge the success of that plan. Apple must also gauge any possible ethical issues that are inherent in its marketing plan.

Positioning Statement

Apple continues to target people of all ages for their innovated products. Advertising the Watch for different age groups showing each group how the functionality, compact simplicity of the product can cater to their lives. The Watch is not only a watch, but new age technology that is smaller and still has all the capabilities of the popular iPhone. Apple is using their already large grasp on the market to introduce the affordable smart watch and provide their customers with compact living at a touch. Consumers need for new gadgets, no matter the price allows Apple to invent new products. Apple products can link to one another, thus allowing the customer to access all materials and information from each system.
