Surverys of Visiual Art

In the survey of the visual arts course the objective is to introduce students to historical, critical, comparative, and basic technical perspectives on the visual arts. In This particular course we concentrate on several different topics that is taught in the department of art ; so far these topics we've covered has been the Ramayana, The Lukasa, The Heiji and The One-Two punch by Robert Colescott. In The following paragraphs I'm going to break down the differences and similarities between these films. These are all ways of expressing life through art.

The Ramayana is a Hindu tell that describes the important part of Hindu literature. It is a epic telling of the Ancient Indians. To the Hindus it is very important to know the story of the Ramayana. They say "The one is ignorant is the one who does not know the story of the Ramayana. Seven Episodes were aired about the Ramayana. They going to see the films was like going to a social event. In the 19th Century Sculptures were built. The art on the sculptures was used in Comic Books ,Televisions and Movies. The notion of Herma is Central. The was a rule you or guide a line that was followed for a son to become a KIng. To be a great King you must first be a great son. In Indonesia the Ramayana remain deep in the shadows. Then comes along the monkeys who fought in war. The leader of all monkeys was Sabriva. Sabriva was the monkey that would get word on what to do and report back to his fellows. Around that time landscaping was very provocative. There was a women who went through all lengths just to prove to the king she was faithful.
