There have been an attempt to configure what is real. The idea of what some people would believe to be real. The idea of what some believe to be real and what we have been able to understand. Most societies today cultures and of the past and present believed in other types of beings mainly pertaining to God. People of the Greek culture believed and worshiped God in every aspect of their daily lives. The people were concerned with many principle issues, but in the chapter, we focus on one special one and that is Epistemology, that which is knowledge. Many questions have been brought about. Some may include the skepticism, realism, contemplation, rationalism, and idealism. When you think about knowledge and Epistemology you find that in reading through Greek philosopher that that there was a lot of debates about the truth, belief, and the justification. When you look at the term epistemology, we saw in reading (John Chaffe,2013 pages 238-340). Plato was one of the many great philosophers to bring up the theory about knowledge that was according to his studies.

The first principle issue is skepticism that would be a school of thought that casts doubt on the possibilities of achieving genuine knowledge. In reading, we find that philosopher David Hume was the greatest skeptic in the world. It came to the point where it permeates his views on epistemology mainly focused on religion, ethics, and history. Skepticism can affect your ability to retain knowledge.

Rationalism is a belief or a theory that options and actions should be based on reason and knowledge. Rationalism is also a position that the reason has precedence over other ways of acquiring knowledge. Plato was one of many philosophers that displayed rationalism. One other great philosopher Aristotle also displayed rationalism. The strongest issue of rationalist advance would be able support views that are genuine knowledge.
