Abstract

Hippotherapy is a type of therapy that uses horse to benefit all types of problems. Not only can this help mental but also physical benefits for the patient or client. All types of medical problems like cerebral palsy, stroke, depression, autism, or lots more problems that possibly have not been studied yet can benefit from hippotherapy. With the studies performed I can prove that hippotherapy is a true and very helpful type of therapy. You can try hippotherapy before turning to drugs or a less fun and not as affective type of therapy. The movement of horseback riding is so beneficial and also has a great psychological benefit with connecting with the horse.

Possible Quote:

“Horseback riding has been reported to include physical benefits, psychological benefits, social benefits, and educational benefits. The value of horseback riding is based in the relationship that develops between the rider and the horse. This relationship is paradigmatic of the improvement in any given case” (Griffith, 1992 as cited in All, A. C., Loving, G. L., & Laura, L. C. 1999).
