INTRODUCTION:

Celgene Corporation is a global biopharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative therapies designed to treat cancer and immune-inflammatory related diseases.  They are dedicated to innovative research and development designed to bring new therapies to market and involved in research in several scientific areas that may deliver proprietary next-generation therapies, targeting areas including intracellular signaling pathways, protein homeostasis and epigenetics in cancer and immune cells, immunomodulation in cancer and autoimmune diseases and therapeutic application of cell therapies.

Celgene Corporation was incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1986. Few of their primary commercial products stage include REVLIMID®, VIDAZA®, ABRAXANE®, POMALYST®/IMNOVID®, THALOMID®. Celgene continue to invest substantially in research and development in support of multiple ongoing proprietary clinical development programs which support their existing products and pipeline of new drug candidates. 

STRATEGY:

Celgene uses its small molecule technology to develop Immunomodulatory Drugs (IMiDs) and Selective Cytokine Inhibitory Drugs (SelCIDs), potent, orally available agents to fight acute and chronic diseases. Its primary focus to date has been treating multiple myeloma (MM), the second most commonly diagnosed blood cancer. It believe that continued use of their primary commercial stage products, ongoing internal and external collaborative research and development efforts, depth of the product pipeline, regulatory approvals of new products and expanded use of existing products will provide the catalysts for future growth.
