Tighter Coordination of Mountainside Industries Divisions

Problems of coordination between the departments at Mountainside Industries have created financial losses in recent years. Mountainside Industries is unable to unite all four of their division to limit expense and increase profit. To remedy the problem Rashri’s Consultants suggest undertaking immediate steps regarding management, meetings, and Information systems. As a result, all three of the advice given to help gain tighter coordination between the four divisions at Mountainside Industries is important for your company’s success.

Management:

The selection of only one general manger may not be enough since the four divisions physical locations are widely dispersed. Since, the four divisions are far apart from each other it cannot be treated the same. One imperative reason is that each division has a different target groups and carries different merchandise. Mountainside Industries should consider appointing managers and one general manager in each department for each division because it will help to bring order and profitability in place. These managers should report back to the general manager of the division. These general managers should report to Mr. Henson.
