Instrument #1: Pre-Test

The pre-test will set the pace of the material being trained and will be an excellent measuring tool of return on investment (ROI). By having a Pre-Test the managers and trainers can gage the training based on the areas of weakness and reconfirm the strengths of the CSI Trainee’s coming in for the review. Since the trainee will receive both classroom and field training this pre-test will prepare a stronger trainee awareness of the importance of Fingerprint collection for evidence.

Having a CSI expert accompany the new trainee in the field will reduce on fingerprint contamination and errors made in the field. It will be essential to receive feedback on the performance in the field as well as the classroom from the field experts, manager and trainers. This will insure the utmost care of transfer of training provided to the new CSI trainee /future employee meets the company goals and the trainees needs for excellent performance in the field.

Instrument #2: Survey of training

Identification of Improvements or sustainment of training using a survey designed to identify the improvement when needed will be essential to future training within the company. Nothing worse than repeating the same boring class with the same boring place with a terrible instructor. The survey questions asked will help prepare the future training events and help improve on the environment as well as the material and make the Human Resource manager of training more aware of the instructor ability to train.

Each area cover an important aspect of a better training environment. The survey used this time has eight areas. 1. Overall rating of the training. 2. Evaluation of the trainer’s ability to train and deliver an excellent motivational style of training the material needed to present to the new CSI...
