Distinguishing between audits for processes

There are four processes at Kudler Fine Foods that will be audited. These processes are the communications process, the financial process, information systems process, and facilities process. Kudler Fine Foods is a gourmet food store and has the objective of provided excellent customer service, professionalism, and finest gourmet food to its clients.

Kudler Fine Foods goal is to maintain its financial accounting and reporting system with integrity. It also intends to modernize its information system process through an upgrade. Finally, Kudler uses its facilities to store the products it sells as well as the place where customers purchase the products.

For its communication and information systems process, Kudler Fine Foods will carry out a performance audit. For its financial system, it will conduct an external and internal audit. For its facilities, Kudler will perform an internal audit.

Pertaining to the communications system, Kudler will carry out an operations audit. The audit will ascertain the manner in which the phones function and how messages are used and received after working hours. In addition, the audit procedure will examine and evaluate the procedures for communications as well as the intranet and internet. The conformity with legal issues will also be scrutinized during the communications audit.

The information systems audit will assess the plans for automation, the budget for computer technology protection from vulnerability, and data security. In addition, the information systems audit will scrutinize and appraise the data systems, integration and access to data, and equipment adequacy.
