THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

Technology uses a scientific knowledge, experience and resources to create processes and product that fulfill human needs like Telephone, Radio, television, satellites and computers, etc. These are the technologies that provide a big contribution in our daily lives because it makes work easier, fast and more accurate.

As a leader and as a worker of a barangay, they should know all the information to avoid a very long and time consuming process or transaction. Information System has an important task in our barangay because it is a collection of procedures, equipment and methods that process a data and make it available to the management for decision making.

System is developed to process the large amount of data that is applied in our barangay to know about the information by each family, such as citizen information. In this system that is called “Computerized Citizen Information System”, it eliminates inaccurate and time consuming manual keeping of records, and it is secured since data stored in a computer it is not freely available to anyone, and make the staff/users doing fast in his/her work recording manipulating data about citizen information, easy correction of entries records, produce report from large amount of data immediately.

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

• To make the records of the barangay become more accurate and improved.

• To manage time wisely in recording information and avoid long processes in surveying about the citizen information.

• To help the proponents develop their skills in system analysis and design which they can apply this knowledge to their future profession.

• It required to answer the following problems.

To avoid mistake in recording a data.

To make their works become faster and easier.

To make their records complete, information/data to prevent lost of records.
