Management and Electronic Health Records In the past months Comhar Behavioral/mental health services have been making technological advances when it comes to medical records. By implementing Electronic Health Records system within its company, leaders will be taking a huge leap into the future, which will aid a lot in eliminating duplication of work within their organization. The Organization has announced in the early part of November 2014, that the health sector has made tremendous steps to adopt the electronic health record system. Informally this system will be introduced to each individual employee February 1st 2015 throughout an in-service training, and has already gone live as of January, 1 2015. The new formal system will require all employees throughout the company to become trained on storing and accessing patient information much faster. It enables health care providers to have at their fingertips a more complete, accurate way of filing, and storing consumer information safely. In other words, if providers have updated information about the consumers, it helps to maintain quality medical attention. The company’s aim is to apply a more formal structure to help achieve company goals and deliver better value to consumers as well as assisting in the success of Comhar behavioral/ mental health services. Electronic medical records can be easily duplicated, and stored in computer systems (Gungor, 2011). This is unlike the paper files which can easily get lost, damaged by natural disasters or even stolen, and can be seen by any individual (Nir & Taleah, 2011). Electronic health records limits the access of consumer’s information to authorized person’s only. The company believes the most appropriate structure would be the electronic health record system.
