PepsiCo has been known for generations for their quality beverages. They have 22 well-known brands, and globally have uniqueness that consumers recognize. Some of their brands include the following: Lays, Tostitos, Tropicana, Gatorade, Lipton, Cheetos, and of course, Pepsi. There are many more, but these are just a few that of their leading brands. PepsiCo takes pride in the fact that they have a “healthy” line also. Some of the things in this line include juices, oatmeal variations, Aquafina water, and dips. Their industry itself consists of many lines, but altogether, are one firm. They have leading industry leaders in which carry their firm farther every year. The chairman and CEO of PepsiCo is Indra Nooyi, and the President is Zein Abdalla.

The product life cycle of PepsiCo is a very effective way for marketers to help see what happens throughout the cycle of their products. With the introduction of Pepsi in 1902, the company went way beyond their original objective and ended up selling 7,968 gallons of syrup in the first year. With the introduction, PepsiCo strategically distributed the beverage within Brad’s (the creator of Pepsi) pharmacies. Advertising was made simple for PepsiCo when they used a celebrity race-car driver’s (Barney Oldfield) car for publicity. PepsiCo’s yearly growth rate is currently 8.96%, but that is with all their brands included. Just for Pepsi beverages alone, the growth rate was 1.93%. The maturity cycle has been continuous for PepsiCo since the 1980’s being that they have continued to grow to $20 billion in annual revenue. The decline stage of Pepsi products may be sometime in the future. People are adapting to healthier lifestyles, and many have already turned away from the original Pepsi.
