Abstract

Does size really matter? The erect penis is a symbol of masculinity in many cultures. A penis that is smaller than average can cause uncertainty or shame. Men face many obstacles in life and stereotypes that rule their decision making. To most men, one of the most important standards is measuring up. Over fifty percent of the world’s male population feels inadequately hung (Moote). That means almost two billion men worldwide think that their penis is small. But with so many size statistics out there, where do you fit in? Our whole lives we’ve been fed the idea that bigger is better. Patrick Moote proposed to his girlfriend at a UCLA basketball game two days before Christmas. The kiss-cam was focused on the couple and Pat got down on one knee and said those unforgivable words. (Will you marry me?). Growing up Patrick had a normal life and never considered that size really mattered. Who knew that someone would say no to a marriage proposal because of a lesser penis magnitude? He travels the world searching for any technique or advice that will comfort his incompetence. Pat demonstrates an incredible act traveling the world, interviewing hundreds of people, and most of all, his courage for telling the whole world he has a small penis. These events are witnessed through his “cockumentary”. The title of the film is called “Unhung Hero”.

The “cockumentary” humorously describes amateur comedian Patrick Moote’s journey to find out if size actually matters, and if it’s possible to increase the size of a man’s tool. After a public disgrace emphasizes the ambiguity that resides in his underwear, Patrick is determined to find the answer many men are looking for. A goofy, emo-looking thirty year old actor and standup comic, Moote suffered a hurtful moment of fame when he proposed to his girlfriend (never seen or heard from in the film) at a UCLA basketball game.
