"Still Waters: The Global Fish Crisis"

The worlds most maginificent fish is becoming extinct because fisherman see dollar signs. How can this Endless cycle of overfising be sopped?

No more maginificent fih swims the worlds oceans than the giant bluefin tuna, which can grow to 12 feet in lenght, weigh 1,500 pounds, and live for 30 years. (page91) Pretty soon this maginificent fish is going to be extinct due to overfishing. Over fishing occus when more fish are caught than the population can replace through natural reproduction. The reason overfishing has gotten out of hand is because large companies are capturing way too many fish. See Japanese people favor blue fin tuna to see markets since the mediterrarean sea supports fishing everywhere, the fisherman use floating cages to catch up to 150 tons of fish. They sell their tuna to the markets they can get them for more than what they are worth the price of tuna is determined by their weight so this is why there be's overfishing cause the price of tuna. Strong monetary enforcement is needed to make it uneconomic to cheat. If the fishrman dont stand by these rules they should be madeto py a fine and abandon from fishing.

"Yes the supply of blue tun will decrease but if a number limit is not put on extinct species meaning we will not have no supply on them at all, and the fish that arent caught up to the number of tuna lost. By serving and replacing they can keep the population...
