EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A 23-year-old business women Karolina Swietoniowska living in Mississauga, Ontario needs a marketing plan for her store, which is Korra Dancewear. The shop focuses on selling dance apparel online via a website with just a minimal traffic. Despite its success debut in selling $1,000 worth products, its next three years performance were poor. This year, the owner aims to achieve $1,000 to $2,000 in monthly revenue by January 2014 and in order to reach that mark, Swietoniowska has already examined three aspects in terms of the design of her propective marketing plan: Her distribution method, a product line extension and promotional option.

Following are the recommendations that will best fit Dorra Dancewear business in the sense of productivity and effectivity, after going through all the benefits and drawbacks of every opportunities:

* The target market should be Children.

* The product line for the new collection should focus on Children with all suggested features.

* The prices for the new apparel should fall in between $20 to $60.

* Giving free trial period to customers.

* Promotion should mainly on Google AdWords.

* Continuously attend local dance events starting with Living Arts Centre one.

This business is still small and immature, so it should not be compete with other “big boss” in the industry. Therefore, competing directly in the same target market or the same retail stores would not be the best choices. Starting slowly but surely and avoiding competition are the greatest options for this type of business.
