Medina’s Shop Business Model

A business model is like any other model; it represents and summarizes how whole businesses do business. The business model explains, in summary, the fundamental nature of the business and how the business makes money, without having to share complexities of strategies, processes, units, rules, hierarchies, workflows, and systems.

Medina’s shop is a truck cleaning services company located in Plantation, Florida. This is a family owned business dedicated to providing cleaning services for trucks in the south Florida area. Medina’s shop has different contracts with warehouses and leasing companies to come in and do the cleaning of their trucks on site.

For example, the business that is chosen is a truck services company. The company makes money by offering quality service, including cleaning, detailing and service tune ups to all south Florida area truck owners including corporations for a reasonable amount of money. The fundamental nature of the company is to encourage the truck owners to continue making necessary checkups and maintaining their trucks in good shape. This will not only help avoid any mechanical failures, save money in the long run and avoid any injuries while on the road but with a clean and detailed truck the company is giving a clean and represent able image to consumers and customers. For example, a moving company coming to one’s house to pick up furniture, but the door of the truck does not close, the employee’s do not keep the truck clean, etc. It does not provide a good example and a good image, consequently giving a bad reputation to the company’s name.
