Introduction

As Gene One transfers to an initial public offering, the sudden death of the CEO, Don Ruiz, could be a challenge for the remaining team members to overcome. Don has been the key ingredient for this change and his loss will be felt company wide since he was one of the founders of Gene One. As tragic as his death is, his vision should for the future of the company still needs to live on through the remaining executive team. But how do you go about ensuring Don’s vision for the future is implemented? Everyone’s leadership style is different and not everyone was completely sold on the idea of going public anyway. So, how do we effectively implement a leadership change that will see the vision of Don Ruiz through along with getting the rest of the team on board to transform into an IPO? This is the question that must be asked and answered.
