ABSTRACT
This paper will briefly describe the organizational conflict and strategies at my current organization. In addition, there is also an analysis of the current procedures and my suggestions to help solve and create a more functional conflict resolution process.
CONFLICTS AT THE ORGANIZATION LEVEL
When conflict happens at the organization level of any business it may appear that the organization is not structured correctly or inadequately structured. The conflict can be that there is no specific job responsibilities, the authority has not be distinguished or there is not distinct separation of job functions and everyone has the feeling that they are doing the same thing and there is no shared goals. We will look at the current conflicts at the organization level, the resolutions in place and the suggestions for resolutions at the organizational level.
Overview of Organizational Conflict
The organizational conflict at JGI is one that is an ongoing problem. There in many ways are too many Indians who think or feel that they are chiefs. The organization has a president, vice president, operations manager and general manager. Most of the responsibility falls on the operations manager but the general manager will go in and change things in the office and not let anyone know that the changes have taken place. Once a situation occurs that the operations manager must address he finds out that the procedures have changed and he knew nothing about the changes so he is in the dark and unable to address the solution to the situation. The remedies for conflict at the organizational level are one that desperately needs addressing and strong elaboration for resolutions.
