1. What is the golden circle?
The golden circle consists of three levels, what, how and why. These levels represent what leaders think about their own companies. What Do They Do, How Do They Do and Why Do They Do. The most hard to has an answer is "why do we do?" because What and How do we do, is easy, but why, just great companies knows how to answer.
2. Explain what Simon says about parts of our brain that control behavior, language, decision making, etc.:
He used a comparison between brain and the golden circle whose has the same three division.
He also say the relationship between neocortex and limbic, which limbic is about how and why, because it's responsible for the decisions and feelings, and the neocortex, which corresponds to “what” is the languages and rational thoughts' reponsible.
3. Who was Samuel Pierpont Langley?
Samuel Pierpont Langley was an astronomer, physicist and the inventor of the bolometer, which is used for measuring the power of incident electromagnetic radiation via the heating. He also was director of an observatory. But he loved flight, a lot of aerodromes was built by him. The aerodrome #5 was the first to had best results, flights of 3.300 feets and around 25 miles per hour.
4. What does it mean to you; “to work with blood, sweat and tears”?
Do whatever it takes to reach the goal. Losing nights, give up some things in favor of achieving the target.
