Pregnant Teen Activity

Pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks, all split up into three trimesters. The first trimester (week 1-12) will include many changes (such as your period stopping) affecting your organs. Symptoms during this trimester include: extreme tiredness, tender/swollen breasts (nipples might protrude), upset stomach (may/may not include vomit), cravings/distaste for certain food, mood swings, constipation, headache, heartburn, and weight loss/gain.

Morning sickness is pretty much an upset stomach, you may vomit, or you may not. As the baby gets bigger, attending school may become difficult. Other students may not understand or be aware of the full situation of the pregnancy, so they will judge you as teenagers do. Be sure not to let comments or judgemental looks get to you, you will already have chaotic hormones messing with your mood, you don’t need your conscience mind to put you down as your subconscious attempts to. Some diet changes need to be made to allow both you and the babies health to remain in good condition. No drugs, no alcohol, and be weary of your surrounding. Go to bed earlier and eat frequently (small meals). Be sure to eat healthy: veggies over junk food, less fats and sugar (that includes soda). Exercise. In the second and third trimester, be careful when exercising.

The second trimester (week 13-28) will be a bit easier, fatigue and nausea might dwindle. Here is where your baby becomes more noticeable. By the end of this trimester, you should be able to feel your baby moving. Symptoms during this trimester include: body aches, stretch marks, darkening around the nipples, a line running from belly button to the pubic hairline, patches of darker skin on the face (mask of pregnancy), numb/tingling hands (carpal tunnel syndrome), itching, swelling of either ankles fingers and face.

Coming to the end of the pregnancy, the third trimester (week 29-40) will consist of some of the same symptoms as the second trimester. Many women...
