Executive Summary-
The purpose of this report is to summarize the activities that I undertook as part of my retail management in practice workshop at Spencer’s Retail, Money square Mall, Kolkata. I had to work in coordination with the company’s sales team to track the entire back end operations and the front end operations, Category management, cash management, HR management etc.
In this report I have given a brief picture of the Spencers retail to understand the different aspects of retail. I have also depicted the current standing of Spencer’s on the horizon of Indian retail industry.
This RMIP workshop has been a pure learning experience and has enriched and enhanced my knowledge about the retail industry.
I am especially thankful to the entire team of Spencer’s for their impeccable support during this workshop. Without their expert guidance and co-operation, it would have been very difficult for me to structure this project. I am grateful to them for their help and support.
