I. Point of View

For this case analysis our group has chosen the point of view of a management consultant. We have chosen this to avoid being biased when it comes to decisions in productions, handling of the workforce and financial instability. Our group chose to give a lot of detail in the productions department since no exact further details about the finances of the company we are unable to dwell upon the allotment ofmoney to the different parts of the company.More so, the statement of the case did not have details about the organizational structure of the company and we are to assume that the company have the means to have a large workforce given that the company have been profitable for a number of years.

We chose to dwell upon the products produced by the Armour Garment Company (AGC) because there are a lot of information and a lot of details about the products that the company produced and their effects to the company. We figured that making a change in the production, design, quality control, what raw products to use and making innovative designs may we be able not only to solve the AGC’s problems but also to improve the current situation of the company.

II. Problem Analysis

There are many problems that AGC are faced upon but we believe that the problem of just having specialized sewing machines that can only manufacture white undershirt for males is the biggest problem of all. First is because having only to produce male undershirt automatically removes women as a part of the customer base and as statistics will show that women generally outnumbers men and are more impulsive when it comes to buying clothes, exapnding the market a must which then leads us to the second major problem of the company - competition. Since the undershirt manufacturing business is not complicated it is always sure that there will be a lot of competitors who have the means of having products at a lower cost than the company sells its products.
