Differences and Similarities between Private Schools and Public Schools

Education is very important in every human’s life. Through education we can achieve many things in the communities and societies. Through education we can have a better job which makes us earn a good salary to support our home and family. Through education we can make a better economy for the country. Through education we can compete with other countries in terms of speaking, writing, reading and communication. But to obtain a sound education, I analyzed some differences and similarities between private schools and public schools. I also examined which school can offer best educational programs for children? Both private and public has advantage in many areas such as finances, personnel management, admissions, school calendar and schedule, facilities and curriculum? There are definite differences and similarities between attending private schools versus public schools.

In most cases, private schools and public schools have some differences as well as similarities, but either can be a good option for students to achieve their goals. Private schools are owned and controlled by private organization. They generate funding through tuition, gifts, endowments, private grants, religious organizations, charitable donations and fundraising events. Private schools are more expensive because they raise funds by private organization and are not supported by government; students have to pay from their pocket for every activity. Public schools owned by government and they generate funding from federal government, state government, local government, grants, awards, and donations. Public schools are not allowed to charge any tuition fees in most jurisdictions at the elementary level; students will only encounter modest fees in high schools.
