Abstract

The common thought in organizations across the globe is that people have different personalities and reactions to every situation. Understanding a common personality norm for the region where an organization operates is vital to a healthy work environment and organizational success. Motivation, decision-making, leadership qualities and even the stress level of employees all impact an organization. If a manager does not develop and use emotional intelligence every day while on the job, they can start to see a decline in several aspects of productivity. We take a look at how individual experiences affect the immediate organizational climate as well as possible implications to our respective regional, national and global organizations. The more we can understand ourselves and the perfect plan the Lord has for us, the better suited we can become by developing and honing our individual self-awareness.

Self Assessment and Development in Today's Business Organization

As an instructor for a Reserved Officer Training Corps program, to show we must continually improve ourselves, I have to display a sense of professionalism while also displaying a natural human behavior that is imperfect. This project covers several aspects of behavior and certain areas where I need to improve and sustain vital managerial and leadership qualities for the current organizational workplace. Understanding God's purpose for us means waking up everyday and dying to our "flesh" so that we can improve ourselves and continue our obedience to Jesus' teachings. I feel this assignment is a good self-assessment for those seeking to improve their ability to lead others in any type of working environment.
