Purpose: California State University Fullerton is notorious for its business program. Students from all around the world arrive on campus to learn about the many opportunities available to them after they graduate. Although the main campus is an excellent source of networking and career research, the school’s Irvine campus is still in need of investment. In order for the Irvine Campus to reach its full potential, it must find a way to attract not only students but business companies as well. With the right amount of organization, the Irvine Campus is capable of not only providing benefits for students and companies, but ultimately the community as well.

Exposition: The Irvine Campus provides CSUF students with the convenience of a closer location. However, most students do not use the campus for anything more than classes. The Irvine Campus should be more than a location that students occasionally visit solely for classes. If a business club or society were implemented, students would have more of an incentive to utilize the campus. Along with that, these clubs could collaborate with business companies to learn more about the actual business world. Firms will be able to gain publicity, future employees, assisting the community, tax deductible donations, and leaving their legacy. They will also be able to build relationships with other companies attending the event benefiting the school. The goal of the Irvine Campus is to escape the shadow of California State University Fullerton’s main campus. Irvine Campus wants to branch out and hone in on the business elements that the main campus has.

Similar to most clubs, the Irvine Campus Business Internship Society would allow business majors to plan their goals for after they graduate. More students would stay on campus and many would be able to network in an area that is closer to where they live. Job fairs and events could be organized to make learning more interesting.
