1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Before, ticketing system and billing system were done manually. These are often used in theme parks, resorts, fast food chains, etc. But this method has many problems at hand. First of all manually done transactions are sometimes inaccurate. Many valued information and records are messed up with other records because of improper storage of records. These are some of the problems that manual transaction systems have.

Nowadays, the computer is used in almost everything. It makes daily tasks easier. This is why we have come up with the idea of making a computerized ticketing and billing system. This “new” system can solve most of the “old” system’s problems. Record keeping would now be just by a click of the finger rather that writing it in a blank paper. Having a computerized system not only makes your system modern and up–to-date but also it improves your systems functionality.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

1.2.1 General Problem

The Ville Martha Resort has no system to keep track on the records of their customers and having hard time to the staffs to manage the reservations of their amenities.

1.2.2 Specific Problem

* Taking time to record Reservation information and storage of files.

Reservation of Function Room created inconvenience to the buyer who wants to avail the reservation. This problem due to the traditional system of the resort that the staff uses only a pen and paper to record the information given by the customer, and having them a hard time to manage the files that being stored to them and getting harder because of the files getting bounded

* Having a hard time to updating/checking of bills and payments by the customers.

Whenever bills were prepared and payments were made, the client or buyers would be issued statement of accounts and official receipt. These were issued within the terms stated in the bill. Most often, more customers would not keep the statement or...
