Abstract
Pizza Hut: Make It Great
When people think about fast food, the automatic choices that come to mind are usually McDonalds, Wendy's, Chipotle, Popeye's, even KFC. But depending on the mood, they might not want to travel to get it, especially when they are in the comfort of their own home. Then in the other hand, there's take-out/delivery. With being able to have take-out delivered to a location it sounds easy, but usually the choices usually narrow down to pizza and Chinese/Asian food. Between the local pizzerias, Dominos, Papa Johns, Little Caesars, and others, coming in at number 9 on the 2015 Top 10 Franchises is Pizza Hut.
People of all ages love pizza. Whether it's for a picnic or kids birthday party, stuck in jury duty, even high corporate meetings have done their share in ordering pizza. Pizza was originally documented in Italy and has been changed rapidly over the years. In 1958, Pizza Hut was founded by two brothers, Frank and Dan Carney, in Wichita, Kansas, with only $600 in hand that they borrowed from their mother. Who would have thought, Pizza Hut would be one of the greatest global franchises. It also has one of the greatest histories that you wouldn’t expect two brothers from Kansas started. In 1989, Pizza Hut delivered to the White House. In 1992, Pizza Hut provided 120,000 free meals to people effected by Hurricane Andrew. In 1994, Pizza Hut became the largest United States retailer of basketballs during the NCAA Final Four. In 2000, Pizza Hut was one of the first companies to have their logo attached on the fuselage of the world’s largest proton rocket. In 2001, Pizza Hut delivered to the International Space Station.
