Club IT, Part Two

Club IT has been in business for over a year and has learned several valuable business practices about the nightclub business. Club IT has discovered the need to improve their information technology capabilities. Nightclub owners are in a much more competitive and volatile market with a continued focus on specific strategies and business models to assist in meeting their business needs. Lisa and Ruben realize that the resources they spent on remodeling are paying off, their information management is lagging behind. They have hired an intern to complete a full analysis of their resources, customers, and supply chain. Lisa and Ruben have requested their intern to identify strategic initiatives to enhance their informational technology resources, which can leverage their platforms to develop new Web-based applications, products, and services as well as to provide superb customer service.

Ruben and Lisa have made it a priority to meet with their intern this week to discuss the interns finding and to come up with a plan for upgrading and improving their information management capabilities. Their Intern has identified several problems that Club IT can improve upon to be more competitive and meet the needs of their customers. Three problems that Club IT can improve upon are communication with customers; reduce the number of vendors for supplies, and information management.   Club IT’s information management is currently limited and needs to be broadened. These problems can be resolved through Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
