Ethical Situations in Business (EST1)

Company Q’s Current Attitude Toward Social Responsibility:

Company Q is currently operating neglectfully with respect to social responsibility in business. Their attitude signifies that they don’t really care about the end consumer of their products, or the impact their social responsibility has on the people living in the areas where their businesses are operated. Examples of this include the closure of stores in areas deemed “high crime” locales. This negatively affects the local community’s economy by eliminating local jobs, but these densely populated areas need the jobs more than suburban and rural areas. Company Q seems to not even care about their social responsibility and there are several changes I will layout below that will help them straighten their bearings and the perception in the community as it relates to social responsibility.
