I am the “oldest of sisters. “I have one sister who is twenty months younger than me. I would say that some of the personality traits of the oldest sister of sisters apply to me and others do not.

The personality trait is “self- assured,” and I don’t think I exhibit that characteristic. I am not self-assured in most situations. I question a lot of the decisions and things that I do on a daily basis. I do believe that I exhibit responsibility; I get up in the morning, get myself ready, and get to school without any help from my parents. I am always on time and always do what is asked of me. I am a rule follower.

I don’t think that I exhibit the “leader of women” characteristic. If I am in a group of women, I would not say that I take the lead. I would say that I am more of a follower and look to others in situations with lots of women.

I am not sure what “in control at most times” is referring to. I generally have self-control and know what I am doing. I am not wild and am able to make the right choices to stay in control of myself. In a group of people though, I am generally not in control. I think the trait of “prefer female company” describes me. I enjoy spending time with males, but I feel more comfortable when I am with females. I consequently spend more time with females than males.

Oddly enough, I think that my sister demonstrates more qualities of a first born child than I do. All the theories that are used to describe an oldest sister of sisters I would use to describe my sister. Although some of the birth order characteristics apply to me, others do not apply. I believe that I disprove the birth order theory.
