The wolf is known to have one of the most compelling animal meanings in the spirit animal world. The wolf has many different meanings; it is like a mixture of many different spirit animal meanings in one animal. I had a dream once about two wolves. In that dream, I was in Central Park during the winter and it was snowing. All the trees were covered in snow. As I was walking to one of the Manhattan schist rocks, I saw eight paw prints in the snow. As I turned around, I saw two wolves in front of me on the rock. I thought they were going to harm me, but instead they starred at me with their glistening eyes and nodded, then they walked away quietly. The wolf can sense fear with it’s keen sense of instinct and deep connections. They have sharp intelligence and often have lack of trust in anyone they encounter. I am inspired by the wolf because of it’s multi-talented instincts.

The wolf brings the spirit of self reliance, endurance, and keen intelligence. It brings the totem energy of freedom and companionship and has extraordinary intuition and telepathy. Wolves depend on their endurance to outrun prey. Wolves are not evil animals that hunt humans. Many people think that wolves are very fierce and will hurt you if you show fear, but they are not harmful animals. But, when they do not come into contact with humans, they are with their own pack and are wild. If you don’t approach them properly or if you show anger, they might hurt you, but usually they are afraid. Wolves have a fear of humans, but they do have the intelligence that they are not able to defend themselves against humans. 

A wolf’s life is about survival. They need to get the food they can find and be on the watch for their safety as well. I admire how a pack of wolves work together because they show the same amount of dedication when they hunt for prey. Each pack is usually three to six wolves.
