Apple is a computer company based out of California. It was started in California by tech masterminds Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs in 1977. They created the “Apple I” in Steve Jobs’ garage in 1976 and by 1977, the first Apple computer was sold and a computer empire was started. Apple is now one of the most recognizable brands in the world. The tech market has been dominated by Microsoft for years and now, it is between Apple and Microsoft for the number one spot.

Apple went public in 1981 and the price per share has risen ever since with the highest being almost $700 per share in 2012. Apple’s price per share is not as high as it was in 2012 but with the continued strong following, Apple is primed for a comeback. The iPhone and the iPad have been the best sellers for Apple. No one in the industry can match the ease of use and the functionality of these products. Microsoft and other “windows” powered companies tried to compete but the products that were produced were not as efficient and easy to use as the iPhone and the iPad.

Apple has been setting the trend for the tech industry since its birth in 1976. The creation of the iPhone is single handedly the biggest breakthrough in the world of technology. The iPhone was not the first cellphone to focus on multitasking and using the internet but the efficiency, the simplicity and the speed at which tasks can be performed were remarkable. Apple releases a new version of the iPhone annually and is usually the cash cow of the company. The iPhone generates two thirds of the company’s profit. The iPhone is the most profitable product in the world. It also generates more profit than companies such as Microsoft and GE.

Apple has created a cash cow and people looking to invest will see that every fall, the company will turn in billions of dollars in profit.
