During the past five years, employees at Jackie Brooks Physical Therapy company have worked hard to provide a successful therapeutical environment to the surrounding elderly community. Currently, the company functions out of two computers that utilize Excel to organize and manage patient appointments, while the actual patient paperwork is done by hand and filed away. While this combination of management has worked to grow the company and manage things currently, the exceeding number of new patients and staff members calls for a needed change in the way things are run. Jackie Brooks Physical Therapy company is in desperate need of a new filing and scheduling system that is easy to manage, easy to organize, and easy to use by staff members and the elderly community they serve. After analyzing the current situation, we recommend implementing a new filing system, AMES, and scheduling system, Spectrasoft, that will utilize computer technology to make scheduling and patient record filing easier for both the staff and patients.

Spectrasoft in an online scheduling software that allows patients to schedule appointments from home without having to call an office and wait for a receptionist to find their file and flip through available times. Patients can book for the upcoming appointment, as well as schedule appointments later down the line with ease. As for the front desk employees, drag-and-drop options are available for schedule changes. The programs also allows for insurance and contact information to be easily available when making sure patients have everything filled out before working with the therapist.

As for medical filing, AMES allows scanned documents to be uploaded with ease, eliminating the need for someone to manually insert information that was previously kept on paper records.
